anways I hate that “daddy issues” is used to belittle and insult women who have undergone horrific neglect and trauma at the hands of their fathers. It puts the blame on the women who were victimized by men who were supposed to protect them. And honestly the fact that enough women have been hurt by their fathers that the phrase “daddy issues” even exists is really fucking telling.
Does wearing a dress make someone a woman?
Does wearing a skirt make someone a woman?
Does wearing heels make someone a woman?
Does wearing patterns and bright colours make someone a woman?
Does wearing makeup or painting someone’s face make them a woman?
Is ‘woman’ an aesthetic that can be applied to anyone? Is this aesthetic culturally universal and clearly defined?
poor men join the army and murder and rape others
poor women join prostitution and endure rape and murder
even the most vulnerable and oppressed men will never be on the same level of women. they still just destroy everything they touch. which is why, although the axis of class (or any other oppression) is incredibly important, nothing will ever matter to me more than the female class. everything will always be much worse for those born female compared to their male class counterparts. so few prioritise the female, so i shall.
When all this libfem bullshit is over I’m gonna look back and be forever haunted by the fact that libfems actually promoted prostitution to a generation of teenaged girls. They did that, they actually did that.
i cannot tolerate porn in moderation any more than i can tolerate human trafficking, pedophilia, incest, racism or rape in moderation
my body can build BONES. my body can craft EYES and YEARNING HANDS and A MIND that WANTS. my body can yield a GASPING MOUTH a CRACKING SPINE and the SOLES OF FEET that will feel the earth and RUN. do you hear me? can you hear me? my body can build BONES. my body can create CONSCIOUSNESS. I am here, we are here, because women before us could do the same. tell me religion was not born to make sense of my power. tell me I am not the model of God.
i would die for you op
“Back in the 80s, I imagined that my future daughters, should I have any, would have it far better than I ever did, but between the backlash against feminism and a porn-saturated online culture, I believe things have got significantly worse for girls. Never have I seen women denigrated and dehumanised to the extent they are now. From the leader of the free world’s long history of sexual assault accusations and his proud boast of ‘grabbing them by the pussy’, to the incel (‘involuntarily celibate’) movement that rages against women who won’t give them sex, to the trans activists who declare that TERFs need punching and re-educating, men across the political spectrum seem to agree: women are asking for trouble. Everywhere, women are being told to shut up and sit down, or else.”
— JK Rowling
Models are real women. Actresses are real women. Prostitutes are real women. Porn stars are real women. There is no sub category that should be reserved for abuse. There is no number of abused women less than zero that is acceptable. Men are hurting these women, starving, beating, berating these women and some people want to pretend like it’s all make believe if theres money or a camera involved and it’s not. Real women are being brutalized and there are no excuses.
